Hi there fellow Freecyclers!
I have looked everywhere and can't find an empty, Chinese style ceramic/porcelain pot for some Bamboo stalks I am trying to save. The little blue and white porcelain looking pots that the bamboo plants come in at Walgreens and the like; I need a pot without the plant in it for the stalks I already have. I just need one, but if you have extras you want to get rid of, I will put those to use as well. Need to be at least two inches deep.
Thanks Much!
Stash

Good morning. :)

I have 2 white metal between the stove/counter strips that keep crumbs and spills from falling between. They're a little scuffed, but still fully servicable--can be repainted with white applicance spray paint. Maybe 20 inches long, about a half inch wide. Need pick-up ASAP.

*No-shows need not reply—I have a list.
*Email arrangements only—no texts, phone calls, meeting or delivery.
*In case of many replies, I'll respond to the chosen recipient only, or next on list in case of no-show(s). Please email only *once*!
*Daylight pick-up preferred—reply with pick-up time.
*We're in Lakewood near Pierce Transit business offices.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day. :)

Kat

======= ===== MODERATOR RECRUITMENT MESSAGE======= ======

Tacoma Area Freecycle(TM) needs a part-time morning/early afternoon
volunteer to be a group moderator.
Moderators must live here. Training is provided.

If you're interested in making a contribution to your community and your planet; in learning a little about online community building
and media relations; and in keeping stuff out of the local landfill,
please keep reading!

Being a moderator doesn't require a lot of time but does require some
dedication. There is lots of support available, it's fun
and is a small thing that can make such a big difference.

If you are interested, please read through these qualifications, and if you think you meet most or all of the requirements get back to us as soon as possible:

MODERATORS SHOULD HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS

*Must live in the area served by Tacoma Area Freecycle.

*Have a basic knowledge of the Freecycle rules. They can be looked up
and learned fairly quickly.

*Time! You should have an hour or so in the morning and early afternoon to devote to moderating a group.

*It is a volunteer position - there is no pay or tangible benefits,
just the joy of knowing you're giving back to your community.

*Computer, Internet access and computer skills. (Obviously another "must")

*Internet experience. Knowledge of Yahoo! Groups is a huge plus, but
not required.

*Writing skills. Correct spelling, proper punctuation, complete
sentences, and proper grammar are a must.

*You must not type in "chat mode" or "IM mode." This means no all
upper or lower case typing!

*The ability to follow instructions. Guidelines have been set up for
all Freecycle group moderators to maintain in order to be listed on
the main Freecycle web page.

*A positive attitude and the ability to keep your cool when dealing
with irate or irresponsible members.

*An interest in environmental causes - you know that Freecycle isn't
about FREE stuff but about keeping stuff out of the landfills and
building community!

There are materials available to help teach people the tricks of
moderating a Freecycle group and there will be a more experienced mod
assigned to help train you.

Simply answer these questions and send to us. You'll hear back within a week. All information is strictly confidential and will not be
shared or otherwise distributed outside of Freecycle management.
We ask for some personal information for safety and liability
reasons and to be able to contact you in an emergency.

Thanks for your consideration,

Your Tacoma Area Freecycle Moderators
TacomaAreaFreecycle-owner@yahoogroups.com

----------------------------------------------------------

Tell us about yourself! Please let us know:

1. Your full name, contact information (include a phone number), and
address where you live.

2. The e-mail address and ID you use on Freecycle.

3. Do you have time to moderate the group? It takes at least 10-15 min
three to four times a day to review messages, etc.

4. Do you have access to a computer, even on weekends and holidays?
If not, what days and/or hours would you be available?

5. Are you a co-owner, moderator or member of any other Freecycle groups? Please tell us which groups and your level of involvement.

6. Are you a co-owner or moderator in any non-Freecycle
groups? We would like to know if you have experience as a moderator.

7. Any relevant experience that would be helpful for us to know.

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, get back to us right
away! And if you know someone else who would make a good moderator,
please pass this message on to that person. Let us know if you have
questions. We're happy to help!
