1a.: ADMIN: Spring Cleaning Week 2 Living and Family Rooms

NOTE: This is a 5-week ADMIN that will be sent once per week through the first week in April. If you do not wish to participate, feel free to delete it.

As we continue the Month long Spring Cleaning Challenge, we come to week 2:
Living and Family Rooms

This week's challenge - Look for surfaces you can clear. Try the OHIO method and the 10 Second Rule to move that stuff on out.

OHIO - Only Handle It Once. If it's in your hands it goes to its final destination, not to an intermediate pile.

10 Second Test - Once an object is in your hands you have 10 seconds to answer the following:

1. When was the last time you used it? Can't remember... get rid of it.
2. Have you used it since the last time you gave it the 10 second test? If not, it's time it went.
3. Does its value justify the space it takes up? Nope - then get rid of it.
4. Will you have a use for it in the next month? Again, if not, it needs to go.
5. Why is it here? or What the heck is it? Don't know? It goes.

No matter how many questions, if you can't decide within 10 seconds if the object should stay, it's an automatic purge.

And not just Table tops, think floor space. Maybe you should just get rid of that old chair instead of moving it? There's probably a Freecycle member who'll actually remove it for you. Time to replace that area rug? What can you find to offer?

There are members waiting in the wings to pick up your stuff. Let us have it... we can take it.

We are in need of moving boxes. Ones that can be folded over and taped. Or that have lids and can be somewhat uniformly stacked neatly for storage when loaded. Pick up near South Tacoma would be nice. We live in the 98408 zip area.

I have a few misc. items left over from my kids past few birthdays.

Theres a dog theme w/ party hats, a few loot bags, and loot bag toys.

The other themes are Elmo and Star wars, which I have a few left over loot bags and loot bag toys left.

Must take all, re-freecycle what you don't want

Two garbage bags of goodies, including 1 large bag of cloth diapers, some need new snaps, hemming, finishing- all clean unstained. Vary in sizes, mostly bigger than newborn. Other bag is mostly jammies and play clothes, boys/girls size 12 months-4T.

In need of a jogging stroller, i have a 2 year old and 1 year old so a double jogger would be awesome but cant be too picky for free :) I can clean up if its dirty but no mold please..Can pick up in tacoma, puyallup, spanaway and lakewood as long as it folds up enough to fit in a car trunk . Black metal sunburst canopy bedframe for a queen mattress. Our queen boxspring does NOT fit on it. A little banged up and likely in need of new hardware (screws and bolts) but otherwise still very sturdy. We can not move it so you will be responsible for that.
